Last presentation

In the last class we had to make advertising project. We had 5 groups and all of us had made presentation about different topics. My presentation was about Beauty salon and SPA center. I'm very satisfied with my self because I think that my presentation was very good, I also become very positive comments from my teacher and colleagues. We were all great and we all were improved in our way of presenting, out body language and how one presentation should look like.

Marketing and advertising

Last classes we learned about marketing and advertising. Every day we see commercials on TV, Radio, Newspapers and Internet. We always say this is marketing, this is advertising, but I think that you will agree with me that most of us actually didn't know what exactly marketing and what exactly advertising is.
In these classes we all learned whats the difference between marketing and advertising.

• Advertising is the structured and composed non-personal communication of information, usually paid for and usually persuasive in nature, about products (goods, services, and ideas) by identified sponsors through various media. 
• Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, distribution, and promotion of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy the perceived needs, wants and objectives of individuals and organizations.

I also want to give special thanks to our teacher Luiza who helped us a lot, to improve ourselves, become better in presenting and to believe that we can be better in what we are doing.

Persuasive presentation

Dear colleagues and teacher Luiza,
as you know last week I presented about The Death Penalty. I was against using execution as punishment cause every human being deserve to live and by execution is just committing another murder. It doesn't prevent people from committing serious crimes.

My Presentation

Two weeks ago I had my presentation about Mother Teresa. We all knew who she is but I hope that you've learned more about her from my presentation. When I started to present I have to admit that I was under stress and I had those butterflies... When I started to present in the first minute I was scared, but then I felt relaxed. I didn't forgot to say something and I think it went well. As you know we had from 5 to 7 minutes to present and I present it in 5 minutes which was not so good because I didn't give life to my presentation, not that I couldn't, that was because I was in rush :/. I hope that my next presentation will be better then these one.

Nonverbal communication

In the last two weeks we learned a lot of nonverbal communication especially for body language. We learned about body movement, facial expression, hand and arm gestures and eye contact. Sometimes our body language can speak more than our voice. We can read from the body language how is feeling one person, is it afraid, is it lying, is it making things... We also watched videos in which we saw how act famous people when they are under stress, how act politicians to show the they are "the boss".
We also learned how to be more self confident when we are presenting something and the steps that we should follow in order to make a great presentation.
We learned how our voice reflects on what we are saying. That we should relax our voice, warm it with cup of tee or coffee before an important presentation.
All this will be useful for our future carrier, when we are going to apply for a job or when we are going to present something in front of larger audience. 

So, this is my first blog and I'm gonna use it for exprecing my opinion for my subject English for specific purposes, communication skills and to communicate with my friends. At first, it was a little bit difficult for me to create this blog, but when I followed the steps one by one I created it. I also had a problem with the design but it's OK now. Now I'm ready to learn new things.
